Workflow: how Version Guilt would shame your outliner
Sample post. The events, tools, and steps in this piece are illustrations of the format. They are not news.
Every show has a file named anim_final_v2_FINAL_really.blend. Version Guilt is the sample add-on that would refuse to save it that way. This post is a sample of the Wednesday workflow format. The steps are a sketch, not a tutorial you can follow today.
The shape of the workflow
- Open the scene you were about to call final.
- Version Guilt reads the sequence and shot from the folder, not from the filename you typed at 1 a.m.
- It proposes
seq010_sh040_anim.blendand leaves the old name in a note, so you can still find the file you emailed. - The farm reads the slug. The group chat stops asking which file is real.

A real Workflow Wednesday is a pipeline someone has run, with the ugly parts left in. Credit the artist. Do not illustrate their work with a generated still. If this desk has not done the task, the post says so, the way this one does.
