Policy
AI policy
This desk covers AI tools for animators. It also uses AI to help run the desk. Those are different jobs, and this page says which is which. The audience includes people who are rightly tired of generated filler. The policy is the trust offer.
AI may help with
- Watching sources and flagging things a human should read.
- Outlines, transcript cleanup, headline options, and SEO metadata.
- Translating a primary source so it can be checked in the original.
- Draft rows in
listing_draftsand draft newsletter issues. Drafts do not publish themselves. - Cleaning obvious formatting in a job summary that came from a public feed.
A human does
- The final writing.
- Every fact, checked against a primary source, with a link.
- Every hands-on test and every Pipeline Fit score.
- Opinion, corrections, and anything that says a tool is worth buying.
- Screenshots of real products. Generated images are not used as pictures of real tools or real people.
What will not ship
- A news post with no primary link.
- A compatibility status presented as a test when nobody ran the add-on.
- An affiliate relationship that changes a score, a rank, or a “works on 5.2” cell.
- Artist work embedded without credit, or without permission when the piece is not already public for that use.
Corrections
When a fact is wrong, the page is corrected in place and the change is visible. A sample post does not get a correction log, because it is not claiming to be news. A live post will.
This policy is the launch version. It is not legal advice, and it is not a promise that every future draft was untouched by a model. It is a promise about what gets published.
